H.E. Dr Al ShaMsi joined the Federal Government in 2008 as Minister of State and she chaired the Marriage Fund till February 2016. H.E. Dr Al ShaMsi is also an Adviser for Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, and Head of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.

H.E. Dr Al ShaMsi also contributes by taking part in local, regional and international committees such as Boar
