Ashok Hinduja's contribution stands tall in the economic revolution of India through his game-changing ventures in the sectors of Finance & Banking, Transport, Energy, Information Technology, Media & Communication etc. His philanthropic undertakings are equally noteworthy.
Together with his three brothers, Ashok Hinduja has been driving the diversified global growth of Hinduja Group of Companies, one of India's foremost privately owned groups with an international footprint across 38 countries, employing over 150,000 people. Mr Hinduja joined the family's expanding business at a young age by looking after the affairs in India.
He is the founder-member of the National Health and Education Society, which runs the P. D. Hinduja National Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Mumbai. He also serves as the Managing Trustee of the KPB Hinduja College of Commerce, Mumbai.
A graduate of Commerce from the University of Mumbai, Mr Hinduja has been conferred Honorary Doctorates in Law and Economics respectively, by the University of Westminster, UK and Richmond College, UK, and an Honorary Doctorate by European University, Geneva.
