Oman as a nation believes in being understated in its magnificent achievements and sectors of core industry. Oil and natural gas play a large part in the country's economy and H.E. Al Rumhy serves as Minister of Oil and Gas, with this sector being transformed as a central part of the Sultanate's revenue stream. His Excellency started his career as a PDO trainee during his student years and later joined the company as a petroleum engineer assigned to the Fahud field. He was appointed as the Minister of Oil and Gas by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos in 1997, and since then, has driven and supervised continued successes in both upper stream and downstream activities.
