Dr Tawfig bin Fawzan Al Rabiah is the Minister of Health of Saudi Arabia and a member of the Council of Ministers since his appointment as the Minister of Commerce and Industry in 2011. Previously, he served as Director General of the Saudi Industrial Property Authority from 2007 to 2011 and Director General for Information and Communications Technology Sector at the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority from 2002 to 2007.
During his tenure at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry from 2011 to 2016, Dr Al Rabiah introduced many major initiatives, including the development and implementation of key national strategies, including the National Industrial Strategy. He also enforced major amendments to the commercial rules and regulations, as well as introduced new company laws that have positively influenced the economy and enriched the business community.
As Minister of Health, Dr Al Rabiah implemented transformative enhancements to systeMs and processes given his IT background, and as a result, making all transactions seamless for any type of user to align with the provider directly. Under his directive, many technology applications were developed in an effort to enrich user experience and to accelerate responses and resolutions.
