H.E. Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei serves as the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure which was earlier the Ministry of Energy and Industry. His work covers sustainable development and the coordination of the UAE’s resources including petroleum, minerals, electricity and water. It’s a role he fulfils with aplomb given his vast experience in corporate administration including ship building, defence systems, oil and gas and real estate development.
Besides his ministerial responsibilities, H.E Al Mazrouei, who has a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa in the US, holds a number of senior leadership positions across the energy sector. Some of the positions he holds are that of Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Federal Transport Authority-Land & Maritime, Chairman of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Electricity and Water Authority to name just a few.
