Named by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader in 2014, H.E. Al Marri is one of the most prominent young Emirati leaders in the UAE media landscape with multiple achievements in media and strategic communications. Her role in empowering women and facilitating their greater participation in national development began in 2003 when she was appointed as the Vice President of the Dubai Ladies Club. In 2006, she headed the creation and development of the Dubai Women Establishment (DWE), and is currently the Chairperson of DWE's Board. She has also been appointed Vice President of the UAE Gender Balance Council in 2015.

H.E. Al Marri also holds a number of leadership positions including the Director General of the Government of Dubai Media Office, President of the Dubai Press Club, Secretary-General of the Arab Journalism Award, Chairperson of the Organising Committee of the Arab Media Forum and Chairperson of the Organising Committee of the Arab Social Media Influencers Summit, amongst others.
