Mr Rajat Sharma is the Chairman and Editor-in Chief of India TV, India's most watched news channel. Mr Sharma, who has been bestowed "The Padma Bhushan Award", one of India's highest civilian honors, is best known for his popular show 'Aap Ki Adalat', which is the longest-running television show in India's history.
Mr Sharma's talk show has a unique concept of a courtroom in which he puts powerful people on the dock and questions them in public interest. The show has got him several Best Anchor awards and felicitations, including Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Mr Sharma has led the way with the motto, "credibility first." It is the result of the efforts of a self-made man who kept both his feet firmly to the ground and a journalist for whom the viewer's interest has been paramount. His shows have many times urged governments to change their ways in dealing with social reforMs, environmental issues and public welfare.
