The ABLF has the greatest honour of the energy, support and encouragement of a leader whose intellect, humility and kindness have earned him the respect of the world - one of the UAE’s most admired leaders, H.H. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, UAE.

During the United Arab Emirates Cabinet formation in February 2016, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, announced the position of the Minister of Tolerance, and in October 2017, H.H. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan was appointed to hold this position within the announced lineup of the government.

His Excellency joined the Federal Government in 1992. Over the years, he has held several positions in the Federal Government including the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Minister of Education and the Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development.

In addition to his ministerial duties, His Excellency had previously served in several prestigious national universities. His Excellency was the Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University from 1983 to 2013, the Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology from 1988 to 2013 and the President of Zayed University from 1998 to 2013.
